Review: The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer

Hello my beauties,

as we all know, good primers should smooth pores, prolong the makeup wear, blur imperfections, mattify or hydrate our skin and allow our makeup to go on beautifully. It is not always easy to find a primer that meets all those conditions. Keep on reading if you want to know is The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone on the top of the primer game!

The Ordinary is one of the many brands of the ´´DECEIM´´ company, and as they claim, The Ordinary is “Clinical formulations with integrity“. All of their products are free of parabens, sulphates and mineral oils. DECIEM does not test on animals either.

Few months ago I`ve purchased a few of their products, and I must admit, I`m pretty impressed with all the goodies that I tried. So I thought I should share my thoughts on the High-Adherence Silicone primer first.

´´This formula uses advanced adaptive silicones to act as a matte, hydrating, blurring primer for makeup that looks higher in definition and adheres for longer. The formula can also be used alone as a non-greasy hydrator that reduces the looks of pores and of imperfections.´´

This primer comes in a sleek, travel friendly plastic tube. When it comes to the formula of the primer, I was surprised. The primer doesn’t feel like a traditional silicone primerbut it feels more like a moisturizing skin balm. It is very hydrating and it minimizes dry patches on the skin, what normally silicone primers tend to emphasize. This primer really does a great job at blurring pores. It leaves my skin silky smooth, the foundation applies beautifully over the top and the makeup stays fresh all day long! It works great on my combination and sensitive skin as it doesn’t encourage oil, nor clog the pores.

Honestly, I think this is an amazing primer and I will definitely continue to use it. It retails for 5 EUR and it is available on

Have you already tried this primer?
