Review: St. Tropez Face Bronzing Lotion
As the not-so-proud owner of sensitive, high-maintenance skin, I have to be careful in choosing face products and I am always skeptical when it comes to using self-tan products on my face because most of those products are meant for body only and those that I´ve used on my face have led to breakouts and clogged pores. When I read that St. Tropez Bronzing Lotion for the face is specially designed for sensitive skin and that it´s formulated without all those bad ingredients such as parabens, sulfates or phthalates, I was sold.
St. Tropez about Face Bronzing Lotion:
´´Our most iconic, natural and healthy looking tan;
– Quick-drying, non-greasy and non-pore blocking
– Added hydration for a radiant glow
– Lightweight, streak-free and easy to apply
– No self-tan smell, with our new mood-boosting fragrance.´´
I always apply self-tan products before bedtime to give it some time to develop evenly overnight. I exfoliated my skin prior to using this lotion to get rid of any dead skin and dry patches. It was very easy to apply this lotion thanks to subtle color guide and a light formula of the lotion. It absorbs very quickly and leaves semi-matte finish on the skin.
When I woke up my face had a radiant, healthy glow and my skin felt moisturized throughout the day. I was afraid that my tan would look orange, streaky or patchy, but I got a really natural looking tan. The tan doesn´t last that long due to daily cleansing and exfoliation, so I have to re-apply it every night. The color of itself is not intense, but rather subtle. So if you are looking for deep, intense color, you´ll have to look elsewhere. If you don´t have such a sensitive skin like me, then I suggest mixing a small pump of your regular self-tan product with this lotion to get a deeper color.
I´ll continue to use St. Tropez Face Bronzing Lotion because it provides a radiant, natural-looking tan without blocking my pores or causing any breakouts on my skin. If you want to give it a try too, you can find St. Tropez products at sttropez.com
